Ride With Confidence and Comfort on the New Argon 18 E-117 Tri Disc

Argon 18 is introducing a new UCI approved triathlon machine with disc brakes; the E-117 Disc.

The E-117 Tri Disc is the obvious choice for a first dedicated triathlon bike. Since triathletes don’t always come from a cycling background, disc brakes provide increased confidence as they dial-in
their aero position.

The E-117 Tri Disc will also prove to
be a great choice for more experienced triathletes eager to own a reasonably priced triathlon bike which they can build up by investing in race-day spec of their choice, such as high-end carbon wheels.

“The first thing I noticed about the E-117 Tri Disc was the responsiveness of the frame. It was light, quick and “punchier” than most tri bikes. It feels very playful, and provides fantastic handling.”

Confidence & Comfort

For those new to the TT position, this handling and comfort is a game-changer, especially on full-length courses or for athletes coming from a running background.

The E-117 Tri Disc can have up to 28mm tires mounted, which increases the comfort of the bike.

The subtle combination of lightness, rigidity, comfort, and aerodynamics gives the bike an optimal balance.

E-117 Tri Disc offers highly accurate braking, which lets you ride with great confidence under any riding conditions.

Customizable Fit

The E-117 Tri Disc offers Argon 18’s widest range of fit options for Athletes looking to easily dial-in their perfect position.

The 3D Press-Fit System Extends positioning flexibility by offering layers of adjustability at both the basebar and pedestal. The 3D system allows for 3 head tube heights for every frame size while adding 5% and 11% more stiffness vs. standard spacers at 15mm and 30mm.

The E-117 Tri Disc has a triathlon-specific geometry with an aerodynamic frame, fork and seatpost.

“The bike handled corners and long, twisting downhill sections extremely well. Disc brakes allow you to brake later going into the turns and the responsive frame enables faster acceleration out of the turns. Those two combined allows for faster descending with a better sense of confidence, even on famous descents such as my personal favourite, Coll de Femenia in Mallorca.”

The new Argon 18 E-117 Tri Disc is a convenient, user-friendly machine designed to be easy to pack, easy to fit, and easy to own.

The E-117 Tri Disc has a non-proprietary aerobar. A traditional open cockpit that allows for full customization and expanded fit options.
